These wheelchairs are under the category of Personal Mobility Aids or PMAs and can only be used on footpaths, cycling or shared paths. For safety reason, most of the PMAs such as electric wheelchairs, electric scooters for elderly are usually set at a speed limit not exceeding 6 km/h.
